Tigerrr
Tigerrr arrived in 2003 as one of the Beautiful Abusers, with his own JoaFruit weblog and an apparently endless supply of useful links, Britney videos and opinions. I welcomed him back when he disappeared, stole his recommendations for the weekly links and occasionally accused his political questions of resembling left-wing newspaper surveys. He emailed to say the new grey design was less fitting to my “witty and uplifting subject matter”. This was friendship before we had met: comments, chatrooms, design criticism and enough familiarity to miss somebody when their weblog went quiet. Welcome Tigerrr back →
In December 2005 I finally met Tigerrr and Kiyo in Tokyo. They invited me to dinner at their home, let Christmas turn into a houseful of photographs and supplied one of the most natural first offline meetings JoaFruit ever managed. I called them “old skool JoaFruit abusers”, thanked the silly blog for producing so many excellent people and announced I was looking forward to moving back.
